How stable has 14.5 been actually? I haven’t seen any complaints so I assume okay?
There will always be complaints but that doesn’t mean 14.5 is not stable. It is very stable. Of course there will always be glitches and bugs to deal with but there are no showstoppers. If perfection is what you are looking for then keep on looking. Don’t pay much, if any, attention to the rantings and blathering on tech blogs like MacRumors.

I haven't actually found any bugs or problems with it myself. It just works! And I sit in front of it at least 12 hours a day.

[LIST=1]
* Mail has duplicate messages when flagging in the flags folder - or bolding issues on read messages.
* Safari has several "freezes" or focus loss when refreshing a page... I.E; you can't push buttons on pages. This is new.
* Cursor loses hover state when going from resize to other state. I.E; mouse shows a divider line instead of a pointer after leaving the resize portion of a window.
* "Recents" folder actually does not always show the most recent file you may be working on... the most important recent entry needed for use.

These are all bugs that I noticed personally... off the top of my head... without even trying to think of all the bugs on 14.5 on my M1 Max MBP. Most reported to Apple. They all show major issues with regression or breaking core code with bad software engineering. Unfortunately, this is a sign that implicates management and hiring in engineering and is hard to recover from unless the corporate culture is fixed. Ask Boeing.
